This free class is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Topic include:

  • Understanding Your Home and Knowing Your Systems

  • Home Maintenance Schedules and Checklists

  • Weatherization

  • DIY Maintenance Tips and Tricks

  • When to Hire a Contractor

  • How to Plan and Budget for Home Maintenance

  • Community Resources

Growing for Better Health

This free class will consist of six classroom courses focused on fruit and vegetable gardening, food safety and nutrition offered in partnership with the K-State Extension Office. Supplemental garden work sessions at the Community Demonstration Garden will also be offered. Classes will meet on May 4th, May 25th, June 1st, June 29th, July 6th and July 27th at 4:00 pm.

• My Plate Nutrition

• Amending Soil and Compost

• Planning a Menu • Vegetable Cookery

• Growing Vegetables • Fruit Preparation • Growing Fruit

• Controlling Garden Pests and Diseases

• Introducing Physical Activity

• Garden Food Safety

Tile Basics: Free Demonstration & Class

Saturday, April 9th, 2022 from 11am-1pm at the ReStore, 121 NE Gordon Street.

Pre-registration is not required. This is a drop-in demonstration and class led by our Topeka Habitat Repairs Manager. In this class, you will learn about laying tile, what tools and materials are needed, techniques and methods, measuring, grouting, and more.
