Women Build Week is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer, learn new skills, and build meaningful relationships. This is a rewarding experience for all involved and improves the community we all share. Our goals for Women Build Week 2022 are to Empower, Unite, Advocate, and Take Action. We are providing the tools for women to empower and educate themselves while taking action on the build site and advocating for safe and affordable housing in our community. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message!

No special skills are needed! We will teach you everything you need to know and provide all tools and materials needed. We ask that all volunteers wear close toed shoes, dress for the weather and to get messy.

We will be building at our 113th Topeka Habitat home at 2600 SW Buchanan Street

Get comfortable using power tools and learning power tool safety. As a part of this class each participant will build a wooden planter box to put their new found skills to work. Women Build Week is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer, learn new skills, and build meaningful relationships. Registration is required for this class.

We’re excited to announce that Topeka Habitat for Humanity will host Women Build in May of 2022. Over the course of eight days we will host more than 100 women volunteers at our Habitat build sites. Volunteers work under the guidance of our construction staff and alongside future Topeka Habitat homeowners to build Habitat homes and stronger, safer communities. In addition, to volunteer opportunities we will also be hosting several events.

Each year Women Build Week is a huge success in our community, with hundreds of volunteer hours poured into our community, new skills learned, and meaningful relationships formed. This is a rewarding experience for all involved and improves the community we all share. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message!
